Position:  Community Educator

Location:  Whanganui 

The Parkinson’s New Zealand Charitable Trust is looking for an innovative and motivated Parkinson’s Community Educator. This is an opportunity for you to work with people with Parkinson’s and their families in the Whanganui region.

It is essential that you have good communication skills and enthusiasm for working with individuals and groups. You must be able to work independently, network and liaise with clients, carers and other health professionals.  You will need to able to work flexibly to meet the needs of the service, including working outside standard hours where required.

Parkinson’s New Zealand Charitable Trust provides a friendly working environment, coupled with professional development and support systems. 

This role requires:

  • A Registered Health Professional with current practising certificate preferably with three years post registration experience. 
  • Working 15 hours per week.
  • A reliable car and full driver’s license is essential.
